The Unified Dashboards initiative aimed to consolidate disparate Surpass dashboards, originally built for individual plants, into a centralized platform. Initially constrained by inconsistent data structures, varying reporting methodologies, and independent infrastructure, each plant had its own dashboard site. As internal systems matured and data practices became standardized across plants, a unique opportunity emerged to unify these dashboards into a single, secure, cloud-hosted experience.
This project, long considered a stretch goal, served both as a proof of concept and a production deployment. The end result was a modernized dashboard platform capable of serving a range of users, from local plant staff to regional market leaders and executive leadership, tailored to their specific access and visibility needs. Beyond its technical merits, the platform helped reduce load on aging infrastructure, improved response times, and elevated engagement from the business.

I played a foundational role in both the original Surpass dashboard deployments and the eventual consolidation initiative. Having helped architect the initial plant-specific dashboards, I was uniquely positioned to lead their unification.
I worked across teams to understand historical discrepancies in how each plant reported data, then leveraged the outcome of a data standardization effort to build a master dashboard platform. This solution dynamically surfaced relevant metrics based on user roles; plant-level, regional, or global, while maintaining strict permission controls.
I refactored and optimized the backend to support faster queries, migrated the system to a cloud environment, and integrated our SSO authentication layer for improved security. After launch, I coordinated the gradual decommissioning of legacy dashboards, reducing network strain on plant iSeries systems and improving overall performance.
