Second Life

For one of my advanced multimedia courses the entire class was put in charge of developing a Second Life Island to represent Minnesota State University Moorhead. The main idea was to recreate the campus and give perspective students a chance to visit each building/department to learn more about the university. My role was to create the Music/Art building, "Roland Dille: Center for the Arts".

By using the "in world" 3D creation tools, I created the shell of the building and populated the interior with some of the best Music and Arts samples from our student body. One of the unique features I created was doors that would actually open and close once touched as well as . I was credited for my attention to detail and accuracy of the design.

Although Second Life doesn't appear to have taken off with the general masses as our professor had hoped, I still enjoyed the 3D Modeling aspect of this class as well as the online interaction with other various universities.
